Lego, Dance, and fun

We checked out the Lego convention in SLC again this year and enjoyed many impressive builds!

Some Star Wars

Cityscape with amusement park and tribute to the Twin Towers

Next up, a Santa train and a chess board with Christmas versus Halloween.

Giant Christmas scene on a mountainside with lots of details including the Grinch and his dog Max with Santa's sleigh.

The kids got to do some building and tried out their race cars.

Very quick video of them racing cars.

Then the kids got to play with another amusement park display where they had buttons to push to control the various rides in the park.

Next we came across a colorful city with colorful train tracks, airport and buildings. Lots of Disney characters hidden in this build.

Ariel from Little Mermaid hanging out in the fountain below. Snow White is also in the scene.

Characters in line for takeoff on the runway: Wonder Woman, Supergirl, an eagle, and an ostrich with an astronaut and Aladdin with Princess Jasmine on the flying carpet.

Groot and Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Raya and Tuk-tuk from Raya and the Last Dragon.

Amsterdam windmill with tulips.

Countdown to Christmas.

Las Vegas model complete with Hoover Dam.

There were LOTS of Star Wars builds!

Also a good amount of Harry Potter!

Mount Olympus

The Lord of the Rings scene with the four hobbits and a ringwraith.

Ok, enough with the Lego - I only shared about a third of the pictures I took! Avery started a dance class this past week. It's a kindergarten dance class where they learn a variety of dances and will perform a dance in mid-January for the parents.

They worked on leaps, side steps, and some crossover steps.

The kids are still enjoying their jiu-jitsu class too.

Our peach tree was very productive this year! We just started picking peaches mid-week and we have easily picked 100! I've made a peach cobbler and we have 4 gallon sized bags of frozen peaches now, not to mention eating fresh peaches almost every day for the past few days.

Pigtails!

Gavin got his latest Kiwi crate and did an experiment to demonstrate capillary action. Then he had a lovely picture to display!

That is all we have for now!
