Family Visit and Birthdays!!

 We were lucky to have Gampy (Carlton's Dad) and one of his sisters visit us with two of her kids this month! Molli, Teril and Alex had spring break in mid March, so they drove out from Wichita with Gampy. They were able to spend about a week here which was great. Avery and Gavin were so excited to have visitors! 

They painted rocks for us to put in our front yard. Avery loved cuddling with her Aunt Molli and looking at photo albums with Gampy.

They both really enjoyed having other family members read to them at bedtime!

We took them to the Planetarium and they had fun exploring the exhibits.

We also celebrated Gavin's Birthday early so they could celebrate with us! Gavin picked a Scooby Doo cake and got a couple new Lego sets!

Avery got a Lego set as well, so she wouldn't feel left out, and everyone had fun putting together the two sets.

Avery went for a walk with Gampy, Aunt Molli and Teril - she really wanted to help Gampy on the walk.

It was wonderful to have family visit!! We were sad to see them leave but we all had fun!

The next day we took the kids to a Nickel Arcade as part of Gavin's Birthday celebration. First time in an arcade for both of them. Avery enjoyed the mini carousel ride but the other games seemed to bore her. Gavin enjoyed many of the games but didn't really have the skills to play.

Despite the challenges, they both had fun and earned enough tickets to each get a little prize before we left.

Another surprise Gavin got for his birthday was a new bike!! He was very excited!

After all the excitement of Gavin's Birthday, we had a little celebration for my Birthday too! The kids enjoyed singing Happy Birthday over and over!

It was a wonderful family Birthday celebration!
