Gavin's Seventh Birthday!

We had a birthday party for Gavin at his gymnastics place on St. Patty's Day this year! There were at least 30 kids that came this year - mostly from his first grade classes. He and Avery had a great time playing with all their friends!

Then we celebrated again at home on Monday, the 18th (his actual Birthday).

Gavin received a few different Lego sets for his Birthday which he was ecstatic about! He also got this two wheel scooter (he had a 3 wheel scooter). Of course he had to try out the new scooter right away!

Then we had another Super Mario cake!

We took a couple pictures to show how much the kids have grown!

We are leaving for our Spring Break trip soon and won't be home to color eggs for Easter so we decided to do that this past weekend too! We tried a different type of kit this time with a fizzy powder.

More Snow Adventures!

At the end of February we did another trip to the mountains for skiing and snowboarding. Gavin did a full day lesson and got to show off his skills exiting the chairlift.

We had a period of warm weather and then it dropped again and we got more snow! So we did our first and only sledding of the season.

Avery went down on her own and took out Carlton as he was recording her!

Next is a video of Avery and Gavin wrestling each other in Jiu Jitsu.

Then Gavin and Avery both earned their first stripe in their Jiu Jitsu class! They were very excited!!

We just celebrated Gavin's 7th Birthday this past weekend but I will post those pics and videos in another blog post!!

Playing Catch up!

We have been keeping busy and I haven't had a chance to post any updates until now! At the end of January, we went to a special event at the Natural History Museum and Avery got to try out a tool the scientists use to dig bones out of rocks.

Gavin's school had a Health andSafety Fair where both kids got to try doing compressions on a dummy.

Avery's preschool got to take a tour of a local soft serve ice cream shop and then got to hace their own cone.

We also made it to the Children's Museum with friends on a day that Gavin had a half day.

Last week Gavin's school did Dr. Suess week and one day was crazy hair day.

This past weekend we took the kids to Home Depot for their monthly kid project. This one was making a butterfly house.

We are planning to go skiing this coming weekend. Avery will have her last lesson of the season while the rest of us will practice our skills on a green run! Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
