Mad Dash from CT to UT

As you know, we left CT on March 31st and made our way across to UT. Originally the plan was to stay with family along the way so we could visit and take our time traveling. Unfortunately with Covid-19, that all changed rapidly! So we stayed in hotels all the way across and our 2 week trip was condensed to 6 days!

We said good-bye to our old house in CT:

Moved into the Navy Lodge in CT for a few days while we cleaned the house and Carlton finished checking out of his command. We were able to enjoy some time on the neighborhood playground before they were all closed:

Then we left our hotel in CT to begin the journey. 

Our route took us to overnight stops in Dubois, PA, South Bend, IN, Des Moines, IA, North Platte, NE and finally Rawlins, WY before we made it to Utah!

So now we are in our new hotel home for a couple weeks. We are supposed to close on our house on April 16th if everything goes according to plan! Not sure how much the closing process will be affected by Covid-19. Carlton started his new job today (Wednesday 4.8)! The kids and I are going to try to stay busy exploring the business park around our hotel. There is a walkway around the area and plenty of rocks, leaves, flowers, etc. for Gavin to collect (and then leave outside)! Like everyone else, we are trying to make the best of it!
