I am way behind in my blog posts!! We went camping in Zion at the end of May and met up with Christine and her son Brenden! Here are some pictures from that part of our trip - we also camped with them at Great Basin National Park in Nevada.
These pictures were all taken during our hike on the Riverside Walk trail up to the Narrows where the kids walked in the cold water for a bit. People can continue through the water and hike the Narrows but it can get up to waist deep in areas. That day when we got back to the campground, Avery decided to try riding her bike without training wheels!
Here is a link to the video of her riding her bike without training wheels for the first time:
And here is another link to her showing Christine and Brenden that she can ride:
The next day we decided to hike to the Emerald Pools but we got a late start (around 10am) and it was warm!! It got to about 95 and mostof the trail had no shade with one section also having lots of stairs!! It was kinda brutal but we made it to the pool!
The next day we did a scenic drive to the Lava Point Overlook.
The next day the kids were sworn in as junior rangers before we went to see the Court of Patriarchs. We also drove through the tunnel which is just over 1 mile long. At the bottom of the hill, I took pictures of the windows in the tunnel from the outside so you can see how high up we were!
We went from Zion to Great Basin but I will post those pictures in a separate post.
