Thanksgiving, etc.

I thought I should do a post about our Thanksgiving activities before Christmas!! Can't believe it's almost Christmas already! We headed to San Diego for Thanksgiving this year, but the day before we flew out we got to have the Waggamans over for a visit!! Kailey was checking out the U of U in SLC, so they had some time to stop by and hang out!! It was so great to catch up with them and show them our home. The kids loved playing tour guide for them.

The next morning we flew to San Diego where we shared a VRBO with my parents. We picked Grandma up from the airport soon after we arrived and enjoyed the balmy weather.

Grandpa arrived the next day and the kids got to enjoy spending time with them - Gavin loved playing Quiddler with Grandma and Avery enjoyed coloring with Grandpa.

We all enjoyed a trip to the Zoo and got to see the pandas that have returned.

The kids got their faces painted...

Then we enjoyed a skyride

Another day we walked around Balboa Park for a bit.

We also were able to visit with our friend Leslie!

Here is a video of the kids getting their feet wet:

And right before we got on the plane to go home, Carlton was able to enjoy a Birthday dessert at lunch!

Now on to Christmas!! We hope you are ready for the holidays and staying healthy!!

Halloween and More!

The kids had a great time at Halloween this year, starting with trunk or treat at a local elementary school with their friends Emma and Jackson (and their baby sister, Felicity)!

Then they carved their jack o'lanterns:

They also got to do a Halloween Costume parade at their school. First I got a pic of the three third grade teachers dressed as the Sanderson Sisters.

Here is a video of Avery going by in the parade:

And then we all got ready for trick or treating that night.

Gavin also started wearing glasses a couple weeks ago. They are kid friendly (meaning nearly indestructible)!

Gavin also had two of his baby teeth pulled this past week! There was concern that the adult teeth might go back into the roof of his mouth if there wasn't space for them because the baby teeth were still there. So he got double rewards from the tooth fairy!

Miss Avery went on a field trip with her class to the fire station right near their school! I went as a chaperone and walked with Avery and two of her classmates through the station.

We have had a fun few weeks and we are gearing up for Thanksgiving!!
