Winter Break Fun

Both kids had 2.5 weeks off from school for Winter Break, so we tried to keep everyone busy. We enjoyed Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Wheeler and Aunt Carol who all stayed with us for the holiday. The kids really love having them here to play games, do puzzles and read stories.

Then we celebrated New Year's Eve with some noisemakers and poppers.

We took the kids to open gym on New Year's Day so they could get some energy out!

Then a couple days later I took them to Kangaroo Zoo which is an indoor place with lots of bounce houses and obstacle course.

We met friends at Kangaroo Zoo, so the kids really enjoyed it!

Gavin wanted to show off the Harry Potter Lego set we received for Christmas. It's Gringott's Bank with the dragon that escaped. The build was over 4,000 pieces and Gavin built most of it by himself.

Ms. Avery had her first dance recital on Saturday night before Winter Break ended. There were only four girls in her class that were there for the dance and they were one of thirteen groups that performed. We did get a video of it but unfortunately the file is too large to share here. Before the rehearsal, she was saying she was scared to get up on stage. You would never have known it once she was up there!! She absolutely loved it! She was also exited that she got to see one of her friends who performed in a different group.

On Monday we took them to the Children's Museum.

We all had a great holiday over the break and lots of other fun adventures. Now it is back to our regular schedule with school, gymnastics, Jiu-jitsu, etc.

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends!
