Snow Adventures!

The first weekend of December, we all tried skiing/snowboarding! Gavin and Carlton took a lesson in snowboarding while Avery and Jen took a lesson in skiing.

Gavin's lesson was a full day but the rest of us were done at lunch time. So we got some practice time while Gavin was finishing up.

We all had a fun time and we are heading back to the mountain this weekend! The kids will take another lesson while Carlton and I use the morning to practice our own skills. Then we can pick up Avery from her lesson and let her practice while Gavin finishes his lesson.

November of fun

Our November was filled with fun activities! We started the month off by flying down to Phoenix for a very quick weekend so Jen could attend her High School Reunion!

We had to take some goofy pics on the plane!! Then both kids got to sit in the cockpit before we deplaned. They loved it!! Although Gavin was more interested in the bag of Hershey kisses he spotted in the cockpit! LOL

The kids got to enjoy a sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa while we got a kid free night! We enjoyed talking with lots of my former classmates but only took a couple pictures!

Then the kids really wanted to a picture with the Christmas decorations inside the SLC Airport.

After returning back home, Avery's preschool took a field trip to the Kangaroo Zoo which is an indoor bounce house/playground. She had a blast!!

There were lots of different slides, bounce houses, and climbing activities. Great way for her to burn lots of energy!

The next weekend, we went and saw Disney on Ice. Gavin had been asking about going to see it for over a year, since he saw a commercial for it. They both enjoyed the show although Gavin kept pointing out characters that were missing from the different stories. Like Beauty and the Beast didn't have Chip, Tangled didn't have Pascal, and Frozen didn't have Sven! LOL

The next weekend, we drove down to Phoenix to spend a week there over the Thanksgiving holiday. Grandpa has a remote control car that goes a bit crazy, so the kids enjoyed setting up building blocks for the car to knock down.

The kids got to do some painting with Grandma.

Then they got to have some play time with cousins, Sam & Kai.

Gavin made a Christmas ornament and picture for Grandpa, I got some cuddle time and Aunt Carol had some tablet time with Gavin.

For our last da in Phoenix, we visited the Children's Museum in the downtown Phoenix area. The kids had a blast exploring all the different areas.

Gavin had a great time in their market and Avery enjoyed the restaurant.

They got to play outside on a vintage fire truck and vintage post office truck.

Then we celebrated Carlton's Birthday!

On our way home to Utah, we stopped at the Best Friends Sanctuary outside of Kanab. The kids got to pet some cats during our visit!

After getting back home to Utah, we celebrated Carlton's Birthday again!

It was a fun filled ad busy month!! Now we are gearing up for December!!
