Easter!

We tried a "real" Easter egg dye kit this year! In past years we just used stickers to decorate the eggs. This year we did tie dyed eggs!

Here is a video of Daddy helping Avery with one of her eggs.

Here are the kids finding out what the Easter bunny left for them.

Not only did they get goodies in their baskets but they also got a t-ball set and a soccer ball! Unfortunately I did not get a video of them trying either of those the first time!

Here are a couple videos of the kids doing an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. Avery has continued to want to hide eggs all week!!

We hope you had a very Happy Easter!!!

Scales & Tails

Last Monday, when Carlton had some free time in the afternoon, we decided to check out a local place that shows different reptiles, amphibians and bugs. We thought the kids would get a kick out of it!

Turns out that Avery is pretty fearless! I didn't get a picture, but the first thing they brought out was a tarantula and Avery went over to give it a "high five" while the guy was holding it.

Here is a video of Gavin avoiding bearded dragon being placed on his head and Avery waiting for it to be placed on her head!

Pic above is the iguana they have and the next few pics are the monitor that was brought out for everyone to pet.

Video of Avery and Gavin petting the monitor.

Video of very long python, "Penelope" being pulled from its cage.

The kids enjoyed petting Penelope and we even got a picture of all of us holding her!! You don't see the tail because we had to have someone else help hold up the snake - she was about 14 feet long!

We enjoyed our time there and look forward to seeing their new building. They are in the process of moving now and usually have alligators and birds as part of their "zoo".

We have also been working on Avery's growth chart! We are a bit behind in making hers but finally got around to it!

This past week we had snow!! It was about 70 on Friday and then this past Tuesday it snowed. We were only supposed to get about an inch...ended up being a little more.

The kids had fun playing in the snow one last time (I hope its the last for the season) and we even made a snowman!! He just melted away today!

We hope you have a Happy Easter!!
