Settling in still!

Many of you know it takes awhile to settle into a new place when you move, so we are still working on it. Still putting up pictures in the house and trying to organize different areas but most everything has its home now. We have been exploring nearby playgrounds and the kids started swimming lessons a couple weeks ago. So we drive into Salt Lake City every Friday for their lessons and we found a nearby playground where we take lunch and hang out. Then the kids both fall asleep on the 45 minute drive home - works out great!
Here's a video of them at one of the playgrounds:
And here they are at swimming:

Fourth of July here was crazy! Apparently fireworks are REALLY popular and lots of people set them off in their yards. So Gavin got to see fireworks for the first time! There were at least a dozen displays that we could see from our Master bedroom and he loved it! Pioneer Day (July 24th) is also supposed to be a big day for fireworks but there weren't as many as the 4th. Maybe due to fire restrictions in the area.

Avery had her first dental cleaning a couple weeks ago! She did wonderfully! She laid on the seat by herself and let them clean her teeth with no problem.
Gavin got his teeth cleaned at the same time (they both got to watch Finding Dory on TV's mounted in the ceiling) and he did great also. While waiting for the dentist to do his check, Avery decided to join her brother in the chair.
Carlton has been making great progress on the Pirate Ship playground in the backyard! He only has some free time on the weekends, so it may not be getting done as quickly as he would like but Gavin seems to be enjoying the process. He even gets to help Daddy with it. Here are some pics of the progress so far:

The kids already love playing on it! And if you haven't seen this video, it's a great one of Avery trying to wake up her brother!
Ms. Avery is working on her walking skills!! I discovered that if she is wearing a dress, she can't crawl very well because the dress gets in the way! So I put her in dresses more to try to get her to walk rather than crawl. She found a loophole:

I was finally able to get video of her walking more than 3 steps the other night!
Here are a few more pics of the kids at the playground and home!

One last video of a cute little "elevator" at the playground.
Other than having a 3 foot snake make a brief visit to our backyard and dealing with a few wasp nests, that is all the updates here!! Hope you are all doing great and staying healthy!!
